HMT Engineering & Surveying is the only firm to have assessed and inventoried every City street within the City, and after the completion of the New Braunfels Utilities System Mapping project, HMT Engineering & Surveying will be the only firm to have surveyed all of NBU’s sewer manholes, fire hydrants and water valves. Katy Street Drainage Project - S. Craig Hollmig Inc. (SCH) was retained by the City of New Braunfels and New Braunfels Utilities to provide professional engineering and surveying services for the Katy Street Drainage project. Pavement Assessment – City of New Braunfels - HMT Engineering & Surveying was a sub consultant on a team retained by the City to develop a pavement management program for all the city streets owned within the corporate boundaries of the City of New Braunfels. HMT’s role was to visually assess the entire street network. HMT assessed just over 285 miles of City streets to determine street surface conditions. In addition to street conditions, other information gathered included drainage, curbs, lane widths and number of lanes and sidewalks. All of the information gathered was input into an Infrastructure Maintenance and Management Program (IMMP) database. HMT utilized AutoCAD, IMMP and ESRI GIS software to perform the work.
Walnut Widening Project – Sewer and Water - HMT Engineering & Surveying has been retained by New Braunfels Utilities to provide professional engineering and surveying services for the design of new water and sewer mains in connection with the City’s Walnut Widening project. The project is a joint bid project with the City of New Braunfels. The limits of the project consist of approximately 8400 linear feet of Walnut Avenue, from Landa Street to I.H. 35. Approximately 16,000 linear feet of 6”-8” sewer line will be evaluated and possibly replaced and approximately 16,000 linear feet of 6” to 12” water mains will be evaluated. HMT’s responsibilities include, topographic survey, design of water and sewer lines, coordination with the City and their design consultant, attendance at public meetings, and construction administration.
